Key Responsibilities

Technical Design and Documentation

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and gather detailed project specifications.
• Design the architecture for an AI-centric application, focusing on RAG principles, vector databases, and large-scale data integration.
• Create a comprehensive technical design document outlining:
  • System architecture and workflows.
  • Data pipeline design for historical, real-time, and scientific data streams.
  • Integration of vector databases with the LLM.
  • Recommendations for scalability and performance optimization.

RAG and LangChain Expertise

• Develop strategies to implement RAG techniques for efficient query handling and insights generation.
• Define best practices for integrating LangChain into the system’s architecture.

Collaboration and Communication

• Act as a technical liaison between the domain expert and engineering teams.
• Present complex technical concepts in an accessible manner to non-technical stakeholders.
• Facilitate discussions to align technical designs with business goals.

Future Planning

• Identify potential technical challenges and propose mitigation strategies.
• Establish clear milestones and deliverables for the development phase.

Required Qualifications

Technical Expertise

• 5+ years of professional experience in Python development.
• Proven track record of building scalable AI-centric or AI-powered applications using RAG techniques.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain and vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus).
• Familiarity with designing and managing large-scale data pipelines (historical, scientific, and real-time).

Communication and Leadership Skills

• Ability to gather and translate technical requirements from diverse stakeholders.
• Strong technical writing skills to produce clear and actionable design documentation.
• Comfortable leading planning discussions and presenting ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Problem-solving and Design Thinking

• Adept at identifying scalable solutions for complex technical challenges.
• Experience designing systems to accommodate large and diverse data streams.

Nice-to-Have

• Background in agriculture, environmental science, or related fields.
• Experience working with IoT data or real-time telemetry.
• Familiarity with low-code UI platforms (e.g., Retool).
