Power Platform Developer (Dynamics 365 CRM)
Power Platform developer for a US insurance client. Canvas apps and Power Automate flows, half new builds and half production support. Remote, US business hours, contract.
The Opportunity
Join a US insurance client's Dynamics CRM support team as their Power Platform developer. You will design, build, and support the business applications and automations the team runs on, with canvas apps and Power Automate flows at the center of the work. Roughly half your time goes to new builds and half to enhancements and production support. Fully remote, US business hours, contract engagement.
What You'll Bring
- Strong, hands on canvas app experience. You have designed and shipped canvas apps that real business users depend on, and you can explain the choices you made.
- Strong Power Automate skills. You build cloud flows that hold up in production, with proper error handling, retries, and attention to performance. You monitor them and trace a failed run back to its cause.
- Solid Power Fx. You write clean formulas and can explain why you structured them the way you did.
- Real Dataverse experience: data modeling, tables, relationships, and keeping the model clean as requirements change.
- Experience with model driven apps and custom pages, and working familiarity with Dynamics 365 CRM.
- Comfort with connectors, including knowing when a standard connector is enough and when it is not.
- Release discipline. You manage solutions across dev, test, and production, understand managed and unmanaged solutions, and promote changes without surprises.
- A working grasp of security: role based access, business units, and data loss prevention policies.
- The ability to take a business request from an analyst or stakeholder, ask the right questions, and turn it into scoped, finished work without being chased.
- Skilled AI use that speeds up your work rather than doing it for you. You can walk through and defend everything you submit.
- Excellent written and verbal English.
What Sets You Apart
- C# plugins, JavaScript web resources, or classic Dynamics customizations. Useful, not required.
- Experience supporting a live Dynamics 365 environment with real users and tickets.
- Prior consulting or client facing experience.
- Microsoft Power Platform certifications (PL-200, PL-400, or similar).
How We Work
You will sit on a support team and work closely with business analysts and stakeholders. Your week mixes new builds with enhancements and production issues, so you will switch between building and troubleshooting. Expect to share progress regularly, work through your own blockers first, and ask early when a requirement is unclear. Seniority here is measured by what you ship and how well it holds up. If you like owning apps and automations from request through release and support, this seat will fit you well.
