The Opportunity

Join a US insurance client's engineering team as their senior .NET developer, owning the hardest problems on an established platform: the calculations that have to be right, the data that has to reconcile, and the processes nobody else can figure out. Fully remote, US business hours, year-long contract with a track record of extensions.

What You'll Bring

1. Senior problem-solving on data. You will be handed the difficult work: a calculation producing the wrong number, data that will not reconcile, a process that is slow with no obvious cause. You trace a problem from the screen through the code into the database until you know exactly why it happens.
2. Deep backend strength in C#, ASP.NET MVC, and Entity Framework, with strong API skills. The backend carries more weight than the front end in this seat.
3. Real T-SQL expertise, including writing, reading, and debugging stored procedures. Much of the business logic lives in the database.
4. Strong LINQ, and clean object-oriented design with proper separation of concerns.
5. The ability to turn a short verbal brief into scoped, finished work. Requirements often arrive as a conversation, sometimes just a direction, and you fill in the rest yourself.
6. A delivery rhythm built on visible daily progress. This team works closely with its developers day to day: you share what you finished, what is next, and where you are stuck, every day, without being chased.
7. Front-end capability with MVC views, Kendo UI, and jQuery. Most Kendo work follows established patterns already in the codebase.
8. Skilled AI use that streamlines your work rather than doing it for you. You can walk through and defend everything you submit.
9. Excellent written and verbal English.

How We Work

Documentation is thin, so you read the code and the data to find answers. The front end is MVC, Kendo, and jQuery; this team does not use React. Seniority here is measured by what you accomplish.
