Senior Bioinformatics Engineer (Nextflow, Python)
The Opportunity
As a Bioinformatics Engineer and play a pivotal role in transforming biological research. You'll work directly with U.S.-based clients to migrate their bioinformatics infrastructure onto our cutting-edge platform. This position offers the chance to design and implement scalable workflows, translating complex scientific challenges into robust computational solutions. Your work will directly impact industry-leading clients by enhancing their ability to store, visualize, and analyze data seamlessly. With a focus on cloud-based environments, you'll collaborate with scientists to develop reproducible pipelines using frameworks like Nextflow, Snakemake, and Latch, and leverage Python and R for data analysis and visualization.
What You'll Bring
- Extensive experience in developing and maintaining bioinformatics pipelines for sequencing or other biological data.
- Proficiency in Python, R, and workflow orchestration frameworks such as Nextflow, Snakemake, or Latch.
- Strong foundation in statistics, linear algebra, and algorithmic reasoning, with an understanding of bioinformatics tools.
- Excellent professional English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic client interaction capabilities, with the ability to effectively interface with scientists and engineers.
