The Opportunity

Join our team as a DevOps/SRE Engineer, where you'll play a critical role in supporting a leading U.S. sports betting platform. You'll work in a high-traffic, AWS-native environment, ensuring seamless user experiences by maintaining uptime and performance during European morning hours (1-7 AM ET / 6 AM-12 PM GMT) with some overlap into U.S. working hours. As the first responder to incidents, you'll be instrumental in monitoring systems, resolving issues, and optimizing serverless architectures and event-driven workflows. Your contributions will directly enhance the reliability and performance of our real-time betting platform.

What You'll Bring

Technical Expertise:

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, including Lambda, SQS, RDS, CloudWatch, IAM, and other core components.
• Proven ability to manage production incidents, diagnose, and resolve critical issues under pressure.
• Experience with containers/docker, AWS, Github Actions, Autoscaling/ Horizontal Scaling
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Understanding of serverless architecture, Lambda patterns, and event-driven design.
• Practical knowledge of database operations, including RDS management and query optimization.

Communication Skills:

• Excellent written English for documentation and asynchronous collaboration.

Client Interaction:

• Strong capabilities to collaborate effectively with U.S.-based teams through detailed handoff documentation.

What Sets You Apart

• Experience in gaming, sports betting, or high-transaction environments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CodePipeline.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Datadog, New Relic, or CloudWatch dashboards.
• Scripting capabilities in Python or Node.js.
